artil is a digital magazine focused on dismantling structures in society and culture as well as challenging the mainstream status quo, which is often dominated by white, cis voices and experiences. We want to change that. “Inclusion” and “diversity” have become buzzwords in the past couple of years across many industries, but there seems to be quite the limit to who and what Western society, culture and mainstream media is actually interested in “including” in their quest to become “diverse”. At artil, we believe in true diversity, without westernizing or assimilating.
